Workshop: Advancing Antiracism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in STEMM Organizations

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine are private and nonprofit organizations that provide advice on some of the world’s greatest problems. Their work as an organization helps to advance the pursuit of science, engineering, and medicine, shape sound policymaking, and inform public opinion.

This year, the Board on Behavior, Cognitive, and Sensory Sciences at the National Academies will be holding a dissemination event to address to changing landscape of anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion within the United States. The event will have the following theme: Advancing Antiracism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in STEMM Organizations: Current Context and Challenges. It will include informative sessions on responding to resistance to change, building partnerships with Minority Serving Institutions, and many other topics.
