From Endarkened Storywork to Histofuturism: A Talk with Dr. Stephanie R. Toliver

The Pushing the Boundaries series is a virtual speaker event hosted by the University of Alberta dedicated to showcasing innovative research and cultivating important discussions on new ideas in qualitative methodology. On February 27, 2025, the second talk in this series will be held via Zoom, and it will feature an engaging conversation on storytelling and its importance of sharing the stories of Black existence throughout history.

This talk will feature Dr. Stephanie R. Toliver, an assistant professor of curriculum and instruction. She has a specific focus on adolescent/secondary literacy and English education, and she utilizes creativity and imagination to address systemic inequalities and the need for equitable educational environments.
