ASQ Paper Wins ASA Award
The Organizations, Occupations and Work Division of the American Sociological Association has announced the winner of the W. Richard Scott Award, which is granted to an oustanding contribution to the discipline between 2008 and 2010.
Matt L. Huffman, University of California – Irvine, Philip N. Cohen and Jessica Pearlman, both of University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, published “Engendering Change: Organizational Dynamics and Workplace Gender Desegregation, 1975–2005” in Administrative Science Quarterly in the June 2010 issue.
Also in other ASQ news, Martin Ruef, Princeton University, and ASQ Associate Editor, won the Max Weber Award, which is given to an outstanding contribution to scholarship on organizations, occupations, and/or work in a book published between 2008 and 2010 for his book: The Entrepreneurial Group: Social Identities, Relations, and Collective Action.
