Online Business Education: An Analytical Approach
As the exciting field of online business education continues to grow, the need for in-depth analysis of methods becomes ever more important. In the latest Journal of Management Education podcast, online-education expert Ben Arbaugh of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh joined JME associate editor Cindi Fukami to discuss his article “Uses of Multivariate Analytical Techniques in Online and Blended Business Education: An Assessment of Current Practice and Recommendations for Future Research,” co-authored by Alvin Hwang of Pace University and recently published in JME.

J. B. (Ben) Arbaugh is a Professor of Strategy and Project Management at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He received his Ph.D. in Business Strategy from the Ohio State University. Ben has served as Editor of Academy of Management Learning & Education and is a past chair of the Management Education and Development Division of the Academy of Management. He was the 2009 GMAC Management Education Research Institute Faculty Research Fellow, and in 2011 was named as a University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Rosebush Professor. Ben’s online teaching and learning research has won best article awards from the Journal of Management Education and the Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education along with numerous conference best paper awards. Ben also sits on the editorial boards of numerous journals, including the Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education, The Internet and Higher Education, the Journal of Management, Spirituality, and Religion, and the Journal of Management Education.
Cynthia V. Fukami is Professor in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. She is currently Associate Editor of the Journal of Management Education, and serves on the editorial board for Academy of Management Learning and Education, among others. She has served on the Academy of Management’s Teaching Committee, and was the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society (OB-1). She co-edited Sage’s Handbook of Management Learning, Education and Development with Steven Armstrong.
