The Science of Science Communication
The National Academy of Sciences hosted the second Arthur M. Sackler colloquium on the topic of the science of science communication, from Monday, September 23 to Wednesday, September 25 with the purpose of advancing a national dialogue on the topic. The colloquium offered scientists, communication practitioners, and opinion leaders the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual concern, share successes and ongoing questions, and fine-tune their understanding of how lessons from research can drive effective communication of scientific topics.
