Donald Nicolson has worked in academic research since 2001, and is now working in industry as a medical science liaison. His MSc evaluated media coverage of HIV/AIDS in the UK in the 1980s. The events surrounding COVID-19 have forced him out of retirement (so to speak) as an independent scholar. He can be approached on Twitter @the_mopster. His first book, Academic Conferences as Neoliberal Commodities, was published by Palgrave Macmillan. Some people think it is not bad. He wished someone would find his unpublished novel just as interesting.
