Sue Sentance is a senior lecturer in computer science education in the School of Education, Communication and Society at King's College London. She was recently awarded the BERA/SAGE Public Engagement and Impact award for her work in computing education with teachers. She started life as a computer programmer, which was followed by a PhD in artificial intelligence, and she subsequently became a secondary computing and ICT teacher in the late 1990s. For the last seven years she has worked in teacher education and is an enthusiastic member of the grass-roots organization Computing At School, serving as a board member.
